The New Delhi airport welcomed the International Monetary Fund (IMF) chief, Kristalina Georgieva, with a folk dance performance by a cultural team. The chief appreciated the dance and tried a few steps herself.
Last month, the International Monetary Fund predicted that India will grow at a CAGR of 6.1 percent this fiscal year (April-March 2024), in spite of global challenges such as climate change, and the war between Russia and Ukraine.
In October last year, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) hailed India
bright spot in a dark horizon
because of its fast-growing economy, even in the midst of a challenging global climate. The IMF has also said that India will make a lasting impact on the world during next year’s G20 presidency.
