A person signed up on Waymo as soon as it was made available for the people residing in San Francisco.
He shared his account of how he was really skeptical about it right from the start but decided to give it a shot anyway. It seemed like one of that tech stuff that has always been a few years away from reach – to him.
After taking the ride he could see how such technology could get traction and become famous for people who love taking short trips.
The overall cost of the trip was around $8 – which was just about the same rate that you would expect from a Lyft or an Uber. His son pointed out the fact that Alphabet takes up all the revenue that the cars earn as there are no drivers to share the pay with.
When explaining the experience of the ride he claimed that it was monotonous and even a little boring at times.
The whole of this experience, to him, reminded of how the advent of the internet was interesting at first and now has become a mundane aspect of our daily lives.
